My Bamboo Outing

Hi there!

Well, I’m bored and got nothing to do here so I decided to update my blog and that's why I'm writing something in here now. LOL! Ok so, I used to go to different places but there is one place that I and my friends love to go to every time we had the chance to run away to Compostela Valley.

Bamboo is extremely well-known place in ComVal for their resorts. Countless people came from ComVal and even from faraway places visits bamboo resorts. My first trip to bamboo is way back in 2007 when I'm in third year college. My friend used to live in Compostela Valley, so she introduces Bamboo to us. Oh by the way, Bamboo is located in New Bataan ( about 30-45 mins. ride from ComVal proper).

PASSIG ISLET GETAWAY

Uhm, okay so last last weekend (May 9-10, 09), me and one of my officemates (Gerelyn) went to her grandmother’s place at Sta. Cruz, Digos, Davao del Sur along with her older sister (ate Gemma) and her cousin. Before hand, Gerelyn and I decided to go to PASSIG ISLET, it was located at Bato, Sta. Cruz, Digos. I am very thrilled to go there as it would be again another experienced for me and new place to discover. Gerelyn kept telling me that the place was not that popular unlike Pearl Farm or Paradise Island perhaps but according to her the place is very nice which could be like those high-end beach resort if it was fully developed.

We meet each other after lunch (Saturday) at Ecoland terminal then rode a bus going to Digos. We decided to spend the hours of darkness at her grandmother’s house and go to PASSIG ISLET on the other day. So, okay the sun is up and it’s Sunday morning which is time to go to place that I am always imagining for a week, he he he!!

We need to hire a small boat used by fishermen ‘bangka’ in order to reach the islet, then after 15-20 minutes you can now witness the beauty of PASSIG ISLET. It never failed to amuse me, white sand are present and it was a small island but never thought that it was really a VERY small island, it was an ISLET indeed. It has a very simple place with an extraordinary beauty. And most importantly, you don’t need to spend much money in order to enjoy PASSIG ISLET. So, as usual here are the expenses including fares and cottage rentals.

* Fare – 120 (2 way, non-aircon) / 140 (2 way, aircon)

* Bangka – 200 (2 way, max. of 4 person)

* Close cottage – 500 (with bed, unlimited pax)

* Open cottage – 300 (unlimited pax)

* No entrance fees but you need to give any amount for donation to help their

maintenance fee (in our case we don’t rent cottages so we only just spent20pesos for donation hehehe!!)

* No corkage (there are no store also in the islet)

Very affordable trip while enjoying PASSIG ISLET at its finest!!

My Trip at Seagull Mountain Resort

Hi guys!!

I want to make an apology for the delay of this one. This adventure I’m about to discuss happen last weekend. I wasn’t able to update my blog here because of my work schedule. Last weekend we went to SEAGULL MOUNTAIN RESORT located at buda road (buda means BUKIDNON and DAVAO). From the main city to the resort takes at least 3 hours of travel but if you have our own vehicle it wouldn’t take that long. We rent a family van for the trip, then as for my estimate we reach the place for about a couple of hour.

Of course, if we talked about buda we should expect a not so hot weather compare here in the city, so, better bring with you your jacket so called cold blocker.  Before going to the resort be sure that you already went to their booking office in Matina specifically at 2nd Floor AGL Building, Centerpoint Plaza, Matina, Davao City. Since we are eight (8) in the group, we rented a cottage that is good for 8 people of course. (Does it make sense? Hehe). Our cottage named Whitehouse; it was the biggest cottage in the resort, very cool one. I love that cottage!! So here is the rate of the cottage we rented and out other expenses.

• whitehouse (Php. 3,500 good for 8 people) [excess (350/ head)]
compose of:
o 8 single beds
o Comfort room
o Terrace
o Dining and sala area

• van rental (Php. 3,500 good for 24 hours with driver)
• budget for food (1,800 for food)

Our total expenses were Php.8, 800 meaning each of us gave 1,100 for this event (we include the driver coz he is our friend too hehehe!!).

It was a one of the most unforgettable adventure I’ve been; the place did not disappoint us. Sometimes we need to unwind and relax our selves from our stressful work. Going to resorts like Seagull is the perfect destination for those who want to escape the reality of life even for a while.

Hello there!

Well, since I started out doing blog of my Epol Escapade, I think it would be great if I also include the basic question if in case you want to explore the place too.

I know you will ask this to me:

1. How to get there?
Ans: BUS RIDE:

meeting place: anywhere as long as everyone know the place. Terminal Ecoland (recommended meeting place)
bus route: Cagayan via Buda, you can ask the terminal's personnel there to help you locate the exact bus location. Aircon and Non-aircon bus is available any time during day. (don't have idea about the night schedule). hehehe
travel time: at least 2 or less than 2 hours time travel.
fare: Php100 for a one-way ticket.

2. How about resort fees?
Ans: We went to EPOL RESORT (don't know the other resort name.. hehehe)

house fee: Php50/head, a house which is good for at least 15 person
open cottage: Php100 (cottage near the falls)
tent: you can bring tent with you, no charge
entrance: Php5 for the first stop and Php10 for the main entrance (day tour), Php20 (overnight)
food: bring your own food, no corkage and definitely no store available.

3. What to bring?
Ans:

personal necesities
your "COLD BLOCKER" clothes (e.g. pyjama, very thick jacket and very thick socks)
knife (don't dare to forget it)
"lampara" (no electricity available)
kitchen utensils
money
digicam

That's it.. Just don't forget to bring the important things and you're all set up. Enjoy!! A very affordable outing perfect for a barkada or family getaway. Less than Php500, you'll enjoy the beauty of nature at its finest.

EPOL Escapade

Hi everyone!

Just want to share to you my latest 'lakwatsa' and the story behind it. Few of my office mates decide to go to Epol ( a place somewhere in Marilog which is famous because of its many falls and fantastic sceneries which you cannot see in downtown areas). At first Im so excited about it, they inform me a month before the actual day but my cousin got hospitalized and its not fair going somewhere else and have fun knowing that your cousin or love ones is in the hospital. So, i decided not to go and spend the whole weekend at the hospital but my cousin was release in ICU a day before the said trip, then i am thinking again to come with them. I've been in EPOL thrice but what makes it exciting is the people I am going to be with. This is the first time that I could go mountain climbing with my officemates and it sound sooo exciting. hahaha!!

I go with them and alas i didn't regret it at all since its a whole new experienced for me. I am slightly tired of going to beach already too so this is something new. The whole trip was very great but accept it we can't avoid accident since it is everywhere, yes, an accident happen but that doesn't stop us from having fun. hehehe!! oh my i miss my virtual diary.. haha anyway, its been a while since the last time i wrote something here, i can't even remember the date (t'was written in my last blog remember? on the upper side! hahaha) I have been very busy for this past few months that i don't even have time to write what i've been through for the past couple of months or so or sometimes im just being so lazy then.

To update, i encounter so much fun and also its opposite side. I love to write my experiences or sometimes it is good to write what you feel for self-evaluation afterwards. Sooooo many things happen lately and I want to write it in case I forgot all the details.

Well, i'll be back maybe tomorrow to start writing. I miss you my virtual diary.. heheh!! See ya..

Originally, 14 man mi 4 ka babae ug 10 ka lalaki peu 2 na lng mi naa sa picture kay isa ka babae after grad high school na minyo na naa na sa gensan ug isa ka tibaghak na babae la nka koug ana kay la kamata hayz ungo kau peu ang boys kmpleto jpon unya nadungagan npud na cla peu ang orig. cast naa lng ghapon..
